MULTAN: After a brief period, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) graffiti has reappeared on the walls of busy flyovers and roads in the city, while security agencies are unable to trace persons behind the graffiti.
The fresh graffiti has reappeared in the area where anti-polio campaign faced strong resistance. Panic gripped the area after the graffiti welcoming ISIS and hailing its struggle remerged on the walls of Chowk Rashidabad and its flyover and pillars. It was also found on various walls of Mehmoodabad Colony on Khanewal Road.
Meanwhile, DCO Zahid Salim Gondal held an urgent meeting and discussed reappearance of the ISIS wall-chalking. He asked all TMOs to take stern action against the people involved in writing the graffiti and distributing pamphlets. The DCO also directed the officials to register seminaries, private hostels, mosques and NGOs.
He showed his anger at non-implementation of a cut in the fuel prices and ordered the RTA secretary to submit a report in this regard. The DCO also ordered the officials to submit a report daily.
