CM asks elected representatives to monitor ADP schemes

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Saturday urged all the elected representatives to give ownership to the schemes launched under the provincial Annual Development Programme (ADP) by monitoring their execution so that their pace and quality of work could be ensured.

This he said while presiding over two different meetings on the ADP of districts Matiari, Thatta and Sujawal at the CM House on Saturday.

The meeting was attended by provincial ministers Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Jam Mehtab Dahar, Jam Khan Shoro, Imdad Pitafi, Fayaz Butt, PD chairman M Waseeem, principal secretary to CM Naveed Kamran Baloch, provincial secretaries, elected representatives of the relevant districts and district officers.

In district Matiari, 12 different departments have started 39 schemes worth Rs1904,305 million against which Rs945,438 million have been released. The expenditures on the schemes are around Rs6,505 million.

The government has released 100 percent funding for the 11 ongoing schemes which are likely to be completed by second week of June 2017.

The important schemes of the Auqaf department include construction of the Ahmed Shah Lakyari shrine with the cost of Rs58,989 million. 

The Cultural Village at Bhit Shah will cost Rs48 million along with construction of auditorium hall, rest house and main entrance gate at the Dargah Hazrat Sardar Ahmed Shah Lakyari. 

The important schemes of the education department are provision of facilities to different schools with the cost of Rs30 million for construction of building for shelter less primary school of Rs30 million. The others projects are the reconstruction of high schools of Makhdoom Ghulam Hyder and primary school Panjmore of Rs37,741 million cost and construction of auditorium hall degree college Hala of Rs40 million. 

The health department has launched the Makhdoom Mohammad Zaman Talibul Mola College and teaching hospital of Rs1600 million. The irrigation department has also schemes of construction of surface drainage scheme in Deh, Dethki taluka, New Saeedabad worth Rs220,291 million.

Rebuilding of 25 bores of different tube wells and restoration of the SCARP tube wells and construction of new 25 bores at talukas of Matiari and Hala of Rs374 million and others are also among the schemes.

The local government has launched a Rs250 million for improvement of water supply and sewerage system at the Bhitshah under the road sector road scheme has been started in different villages. They are roads from Sahar Hajano to Syed Mitho Shah Road, from National Highway to village Deedar Khaskheli via Kot Nindioani Panhwar, UC Bhitshah.

The sports department has launched Rs20 million construction of Malakhra Stadium at Dargah Hazrat Ahmed Shah Lakyari.

The agriculture department’s scheme is sustainable agriculture through provision of water storage tanks rehabilitation and lining of watercourses.

The education department has different schemes that include provision of missing facilities and construction of building for shelter less schools.

The health department has scheme of up gradation of the BHU to the level of the RHC at village Mohammad Hassan Dal.

The irrigation department has number of drainage schemes such as construction of pumping stations of 80 cusecs to control water logging and drain out monsoon water at the chamber construction of sub-drain installation of six tube wells at Deh Langhano taluka Jhando Marri.

The sports department has a scheme of construction of the Synthtic Football Turf Stadium at Tando Allahyar.

The Rural Development Department (RDD) is constructing link roads from Hyderabad Mirpurkhas road to Gabol village, Link Road from Rehan Rind to Magsi Boundary via Chaakar Khan Rind and construction of sewerage system at village Nawabzada Mir Munawar Khan, taluka Jhando Marri.

The chief minister was informed that in Sujawal district, 31 schemes have been launched by different 12 departments.

The chief minister urged all the elected representatives to keep inspecting the ongoing schemes so that their completion could be made in time.

In case of complaints of quality or pace of work, the CM secretariat must be informed for necessary action, the chief minister said.
