Imam-e-Ka’aba stresses unity to defeat terror

LAHORE: Imam of the Grand Mosque of Makkah Sheikh Saleh Muhammad bin Talib on Sunday visited central office of Pakistan Ulema Council here.
He said Muslim Ummah is passing through critical phase; people are facing difficulties everywhere. They will have to get united which is the need of the hour. He said there is no room for terrorism in Islam and we can defeat it collectively, he added.
He said "the people of Pakistan, government and ulema gave me love. I have mixed up with the Pakistani people. Muslims all over the world are experiencing worse kind of terrorism. We should be united against this menace. Islam is a religion of peace which believes in unity and brotherhood, he added. There is no space for hatred and sectarianism in our religion."
He appreciated the role of Pakistan Ulema Council and said Allama Tahir Ahrafi is playing a great role in bringing the Muslim Ummah closer, he said. No one would be allowed to create differences among Muslims. They are united to protect the holy places of Saudi Arabia.
He said there is no room for terrorism in Islam and we can defeat it collectively, he added. According to him, religious scholars of Pakistan sacrificed their lives for Islam. Safety and stability of Pakistan is dear to Saudi Arabia, he said, adding that Pakistan could not be left alone.
Imam of the Grand Mosque said Pakistani people have great love for the Arab’s land. He said Saudi Arabia worked for unity of Muslim Ummah. The leadership of Saudi Arabia feels pride in being called Khadmain Harmain Sharifain. Allama Tahir Ashrafi thanked Imam-e-Ka'aba and announced holding of the Pegham Islam conference in Islamabad on April 12. More than 5,000 religious leaders from across the country will participate in the conference. Imam-e-Ka'aba also visited Badshahi Mosque where high officials received him.
