LAHORE
Partly cloudy weather was observed in the City on Friday. Met Office forecast scattered rain in various cities for Saturday (today).
Met officials said a westerly wave was still affecting upper parts of the country. They predicted mainly dry weather in most parts of the country. Rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills was expected at scattered places in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Malakand, Hazara divisions as well as at isolated places in Peshawar, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, upper FATA and Islamabad.
Rainfall was recorded in several cities, including Rawalakot, 36mm, Kotli, Garidupatta, 26, Muzaffarabad, 21, Bunji, 32, Skardu, Chillas, 20, Gilgit, 17, Hunza, 4, Kakul, 24, Pattan, 22, Kalam, 20, Balakot 19, Malamjabba, 14, Dir, 13, Kohat, 10, Cherat, 9, Mirkhani, 8, Drosh, Saidu Sharif, 3, Peshawar, 1, Islamabad, 19, Saidpur, 18, Golra, 16, Bokra, 12, Chakwal, 13, MB Din, 10, Murree, Kamra, 6, Sialkot AP, 3, Sialkot Cantt, 2, Kasur, Mianwali, 2, Gujranwala and Jhelum, 1. Snowfall was also recorded at Astore, Skardu, Malamjabba and Kalam.
Friday’s highest temperature was recorded at Dadu and Mirpurkhas where mercury reached 39°C.
In Lahore, maximum temprature was recorded 29 °C and minimum 17 °C while humidity level was 35 percent.
