Four PU scholars awarded PhD degrees

Punjab University has awarded four PhD degrees to scholars in which Sajid Siddique Nizami in the subject of Urdu after approval of his thesis entitled “Asaleeb-e-Nasr-e-Urdu K Tahav’Vulat (Aghaz Se Wafat-e-Ghalib Tak)”, Muhammad Aslam Bhatti in the subject of Urdu after approval of his thesis entitled “Ghulam Hussain Zulfiqar-Hayat Aur Adabi Khidmaat”, Hussain Ali in the subject of Sociology after approval of his thesis entitled “Cultural Barriers in Accessing Maternal Health Care Service in Malakand Pakistan” and Wardat-us-Salam in the subject of Mathematics after approval of her thesis entitled “Non-Stationary Subdivision Algorithms for Geometric Modeling”.

promoted: On the directions of Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir, 18 senior most senior clerks, who were awaiting their promotions for many years, have been promoted to next grade.

In this regard, an office order distribution ceremony was held at committee room of the vice-chancellor’s office in which PU VC Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir, Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan, Additional Registrar II Jalil Tariq, Deputy Registrar Imtiaz Ahmed and newly-promoted officials were present. The vice-chancellor advised the newly-promoted officials to work with honesty and dedication.

Hafiz Salah-ud-Din Shahid, Ghulam Rasool, Qaiser Mustafa, Nasir Rehmat, Irfan Ali, Muhammad Pervaiz, Rafaqat Ali, Zaheer Hussain, Abdul Aziz, Shafaqat Ali, Abdul Rasheed Khan, Muhammad Ahmad, Muhammad Riaz, Najeeb Kazim, Mumtaz Ahmad, Asif Mahmood, Muhammad Basharat and Hafiz Abdul Basit have been promoted.

VC: Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir on Wednesday visited various examination centres to review arrangements for BA/BSc examinations 2017. Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Shahid Munir, additional controllers Muhammad Rauf Nawaz and Raja Shahid Javed were also present on the occasion.

The vice-chancellor talked to teachers, students and parents regarding arrangements for smoothly conducting the examinations and instructed the officials to remain vigilant.

Impersonator arrested: Punjab University inspection team nabbed an impersonator from Wahdat Road examination centre set up for BA/BSc examination. 

Abdul Rehman was attempting the paper of English in place of candidate Ali Haider Shah bearing roll number 91574. An unfair means case has been registered and Abdul Rehman has been handed over to the police.

results: Punjab University Examinations Department has declared the results of examination in various disciplines.
