Man dies in train accident
A 42-year-old man was killed after a train ran him over while he was crossing the railway tracks, informed the Landhi Railway police.
The man said to have died on the spot was identified as Tooti Rehman, son of Fazalur Rehman.
The body of the deceased was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for postmortem examination and later handed over to his family for burial.
Such mishaps, which are mostly at unmanned railway crossings, are common across the country. In January this year, a 34-year-old man died after he was hit by a passenger train in the city's Quaidabad area. The victim, identified as Shahid Hussain, suffered severe injuries and died on the spot.
