ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) are indulging in drama (noora Kushti).
In a statement, Imran also expressed deep sorrow over the train accident in Sheikhupura, alleging that railways minister was more interested in pleasing the Sharifs. Imran slammed the government over continuous train accidents and termed it embarrassing and worrying. He demanded the Railways Minister Saad Rafique to resign, earlier on Lodhran accident, involving a train and a three-wheeler, which claimed eight lives.
“Railway minister has nothing to do with the matters of his own ministry. He only criticises others and serves the Sharifs. He either threatens the nation with ‘lions’ or ridicules the judges,” asserted Imran.
The PTI chief alleged that Saad Rafique was more concerned about saving the corruption of prime minister’s family than safeguarding peoples’ lives. “The railway minister would have resigned if he had been a responsible person. But who would teach morality to ministers when the prime minister himself is stubborn,” said the PTI chief.
Meanwhile, the PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry came up with statistics to unleash attack on the minister and said that since 2013, there had been 304 railway accidents, which claimed 112 lives while 62 accidents took place at railways crossings alone. He alleged that the minister was interested only in appointing people of his choice on key posts and awarding contracts to his blue-eyed persons.
