March and April are the months in which matriculation and intermediate examinations take place. In addition to the stress of studies, students also have to deal with the problems of examination centres. Karachi is a metropolitan and while there are many colleges and schools located in this city, most of them are in deplorable conditions. When these schools and colleges are turned into examination centres, taking exams becomes a problem.
The students are deprived of basic facilities like proper desks and chairs, fans and water. Sometimes, they have to sit on the floors to take their exams, work without any fans and do not have access to water. Moreover, there are no proper departments or staff members to guide first-time exam takers to their respective classrooms or examination halls. These matters need to be taken into consideration soon.
