AG, Nespak team call on acting IGP

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Advocate General (AG) Abdul Latif Yusufzai and acting Inspector General of Police Syed Akhtar Ali Shah discussed the police force professional and legal issues at a meeting here at the Central Police Office on Sunday.

The acting IGP and the advocate general also discussed framing of rules for the recently introduced police reforms, said a communiqué.It said the important legal requirements and formalities for the First Information Report also came under discussion.

The advocate general termed the police reforms a milestone in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police and appreciated the sacrifices rendered by police in war against terror. The advocate general assured his full support and cooperation for framing rules for the police reforms of the force. 

Meanwhile, a four-member team of National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) also called on the acting IGP Akhtar Ali Shah and discussed matters pertaining to mutual interest. It merits a mention here that the acting IGP Akhtar Ali Shah recently at a meeting with the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had presented a detailed briefing about the Safe City Project, Peshawar.

The chief minister had directed the acting IGP to hold a meeting with the relevant departments and workout a comprehensive strategy for this security project at the earliest.It may also be recalled that NESPAK is a consultant body of all the Safe City Projects launched in the country. During the meeting, the basic structure and other related issues of the project were discussed in detail.
