LAHORE
Lahore Transport Company has mandate to regulate, plan and enforce public transport in the city for the provision of safe, affordable and economical transport facilities to the general public.
According to a LTC spokesman, recently initiated new bus service on metro feeder routes reflects the pledge of the Punjab government for modern transport facilities in the metropolis as well as in other parts of the province.
With the commencement of feeder route bus service, the existing routes of LTC will be adjusted and buses plying on these routes will be shifted to other routes proposed under a study made for integrated bus operations.
In this regard necessary instructions have already been issued to the private transport operators, the spokesman said.
The LTC as regulatory body shall enforce and ensure the public transport laws and their implementation in respect of public transport discipline management, he added.
