The activity being planned for today (Tuesday) ‘International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) Inspiring Change in Education 2017’ is a celebration on achieving partnership between Ali Trust and ICMC Pakistan.

This event has been organised as ICMC and Ali Trust Pakistan fully support education for refugee girls, so what better way to support women education, than International Women’s Day on the 8th March. Ali Trust Pakistan fully supported this noble cause by ICMC by awarding 100 per cent scholarship for secondary level education for girls.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed here on Monday between Ali Trust Pakistan and ICMC Pakistan to facilitate 50 Refugee girls with 100 per cent scholarship. This scholarship is for Secondary level education. Not only this Ali Trust will provide books, stationery and uniform to the child at the time of the enrolment. Uniform will be provided twice a year for summer and winter.

In International Catholic Migration Commission Pakistan History such a step for the promotion of girls' education has been taken for the very first time by the Education department. Raza Ali Alvie the President of Ali Trust and Jehanzeb Anwar Country Director of ICMC Pakistan highly appreciated the tireless efforts made by Education Officer Samina Jamshed to achieve this level of support in education for refugee girls. According to the Country Director of ICMC he said, "I feel very proud of my Education department for reaching such a level and Jamshed is an asset to our organisation, she has made all the team proud," he also appreciated the support of Ali Raza Alvie President of Ali Trust without whom all this would not have been possible. He concluded his note of Thanks by saying ICMC with such team will make education accessible for all.
