QUETTA/PESHAWAR: It's not Lahore alone, it's entire Pakistan — from Karachi to Peshawer — electrified by the return of cricket. Cities and towns, big or small, across the country had big screens installed at vast places to help crowds watch the final being played in Lahore.

The Balochistan government made arrangements at Nawab Akbar Bugti Cricket Stadium and the football ground of Government Special High School. "I have invited all my friends to watch cricket in my house," a young man in Quetta tells Geo News. "Arrangements have also been made for dinner."

On the other hand, unable to hold their excitement, children in Peshawar came out on the streets, playing cricket until the actual game began. Given the advantage of Sunday, adults also had time to celebrate.    Talking to Geo News, a local said he is hopeful that Peshawar Zalmi will win the match.

People were happy cricket was back home. "Whichever team plays well, will win," says another local. "The series of victory tells us our team will win." Preparations for match screening was made at universities and colleges' grounds.  However, people of Peshawar were worried about Shahid Afridi's injury, wishing he would have been part of the final match.
