PSL final in Lahore a great achievement, says Saifullah

ISLAMABAD: Conducting the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore, merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and improvement of law and order situation in the country are great achievements of the present PML-N government, says Pakistan Muslim League leader and former federal minister Salim Saifullah Khan.

He said PSL is becoming brand of Pakistan and it will not only pave way for bringing international cricket to Pakistan but also promote good image of Pakistan on international level. "People in Pakistan want to see international cricket in our stadiums and PSL is the best way to lure international cricketers and best teams to Pakistan," he said.

Salim Saifullah said approval of Fata merger with KP and FCR replacement with Riwaj Regulation are also great achievements of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and is great gift to the people of Fata from the PML-N government.

"People of Fata were in favour of merger with KP and were fed up with the FCR and this approval will pave way for progress and prosperity of the people of Fata," he added. Commenting on law and order situation, Salim Saifullah said, "Law and order situation has improved and terrorists have almost been flushed out from country as a result of Pakistan Army’s sacrifices and sincere efforts of the PML-N government, especially Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

“Just like Zarb-e-Azb, Raadul Fasad will also bear good results and terrorists will be flushed out from all over the country and Pakistan will become a peaceful country," he added. The former federal minister said Kurram-Tangi Dam is matter of life and death for the southern districts of KP as it will irrigate Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Karak and some parts of North Waziristan. “We are thankful to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for inaugurating Kurram-Tangi Dam and hope that this project will bring prosperity to the area,” he added.

"The present government needs to give full attention to this project, as the future of this area depends on this project. With this dam, we shall become self-sufficient in agricultural products and will need no external support, rather we shall export wheat and other products," he added.
