LAHORE
Light rain hit scattered places of the provincial metropolis on Tuesday morning while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
The Met officials said a westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist in upper parts of the country till Friday (morning). They said rain-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Fata, Kashmir.
They predicted light rain-thunderstorm at isolated places in Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Mardan, DI Khan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan while dry weather elsewhere in the country.
Rainfall was reported in several cities including Kalat (08 mm), Nokkundi (03 mm), Quetta (02 mm), Omara, Barkhan and Panjgur (01 mm), Kot Addu (05 mm), Jhang and D.G.Khan (02 mm), Gujranwala and Sialkot (01 mm) and Jacobabad (03 mm). Tuesday’s lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Gupis where mercury dipped down to -04°C while in Lahore it was 11.7 C.
