IEDs defused in Thall market

HANGU: The police on Saturday recovered and defused two improvised explosive devices planted in a busy market in Thall town, an official said.
In-charge bomb disposal unit (BDU) Asadullah said that the security guard of Israfil market spotted two suspicious devices planted at Bannu Chowk and informed the police.
He said that the BDU personnel reached the spot and defused two IEDs, weighing two kilogram each.
“The timely action by the BDU saved the area from huge destruction,” he added.
Meanwhile, the police also arrested six suspected persons from the area during the search.
District Police Officer Ihsanullah told reporters that the arrested suspects have been shifted to an undisclosed location for an interrogation.
