Forensic report says DHA blast was accident

Lahore police received a forensic report on the DHA explosion on Saturday.

According to a police spokesman, the incident was an accident and not a bomb blast or a subversive activity.

The FIR of the accident was registered at the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) A-Police Station.

A committee, led by the DIG Investigation, is investigating the incident. —APP

Our correspondent adds: Qila Gujar Singh police arrested a drug peddlers and recovered 1kg charas from his possession.

The arrested drug pusher was identified as Kahlid alias Khalidi.

Security: The CCPO Lahore and the DIG Operations Saturday visited the Lahore High Court and a local hotel and checked security arrangements made for bar elections and a literary festival, respectively.

Both the officers said that the Lahore police were utilizing all resources to maintain peace in the city. DIG said that four SPs, four DSPs, eight SHOs and over 400 officials had performed duty on the said occasions. 

transfers: The IGP has issued orders of transfer and posting of three police officers with immediate effect on Saturday.

SP Waqar Shoib Anwar has been appointed as SP Security-III, Security Division Raiwind Lahore, SP Rana Umar Farooq has been appointed as SP Operations Allama Iqbal Town while SP Adil Memon has been posted as SP Operations City Lahore.
