Three killed in road accidents

TAKHT BHAI: Two persons were killed and seven others sustained injuries in separate road accidents in the area on Thursday, police said.

They said that a schoolteacher identified as Sultan Mehmood was on his way on Mardan-Malakand Highway when a speeding vehicle struck his motorbike, killing him on the spot. The driver managed to flee the scene. The body was shifted to a hospital in Takht Bhai for autopsy and later handed over to the family members for burial.

Meanwhile, one Salman along with his friend Murad was on his way when his motorcycle slipped near the Shahnoor Bridge. As a result, Salman was killed on the spot while Murad sustained injuries.

Similarly, six other persons including motorcyclist Atif Khan, Shehryar Khan, Safdar Salih Muhammad and Hisham sustained injuries in a road accident and were taken to the nearby hospital where their condition was stated to be stable. The police registered separate cases and started investigation.

Man killed in Mansehra accident: A man was killed and four others sustained injuries in a road accident in Atter Shisha area on Thursday.Mohammad Shafique was killed and Mohammad Zubair, Mohammad Sadiq, Mohammad Zakir and Hazrat Khan sustained injuries when two cars collided in Atter Shisha area. The injured were taken to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors pronounced Mohammad Shafique of Balakot dead.

Boy Killed: A boy was killed after being hit by rocks scattered in air following the explosion in a mine in Saribandi village of Pulrah.The rocks hit one Mohammad Naqash after an explosion at a granite mine.
