LAHORE
Punjab Higher Education Minister Syed Raza Ali Gillani said that Rs2.147 billion had been provided for setting up 138 public sector colleges in different districts of the province.
He said this while addressing the convocation of Government MAO College on Thursday. The college principal, Prof Zafar Jamal, faculty members and a large number of students were present.
Congratulating the graduating students, the minister said an educated youth was vital in today’s rapidly changing world.
He said Pakistan was blessed with numerous opportunities, while its geo-strategic position was very impotence in the South Asian region.
With the launch of CPEC-related projects, the economic future of Pakistan has become even brighter, he added. Later, he distributed gold medals and merit certificates among the students.
