Labourer dies in factory mishap

A labourer died after he got stuck in a machine while working in a factory, in Orangi Town on Thursday.

Unable to move, Nasir Hussain, son of Umer, died instantly after he got stuck in a machine, reported rescue sources. His body was taken to the Qatar Hospital for an autopsy. 

 

Man commits suicide

A rickshaw driver was said to have committed a suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his house in Orangi Town.

The police said that Babar Ahmed Qureshi lived in Sector 14 of the area, and has left behind a child and a widow. The officials suggested that the motive behind the suicide were some domestic problems; however, further investigation was still under way.

 

Three killed in mishaps

Three people were killed while another suffered injuries in separate accidents in the city.

According to rescue sources, a man appearing to be in his mid-30s died after he was hit by a speeding vehicle near the Bin Qasim Park, in Clifton. He was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre in an injured condition where he succumbed to his injuries.

In another mishap, an unidentified man lost his life after he was hit by a speeding vehicle while crossing the road near the Toll Plaza, on Super Highway.

Thirty-five-year-old Wajid died after he came under the wheels of a train while crossing the tracks near Zafar Town in Landhi. His body was taken to the JPMC.

Nasir, 25, suffered injuries when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle in the Bakra Peeri area, in Lyari. The injured was rushed to the CHK for treatment.
