Doctor suspended
LAHORE
The administration of Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore, suspended a doctor after nurses' protest on Wednesday against the doctor for allegedly slapping a nurse a couple of days ago.
The nurses of Shaikh Zayed Hospital held a protest demonstration and closed all gates of the hospital in protest against Dr Usman for allegedly slapping a nurse, Javeria, for causing pain in administrating injection to his relative’s child. The nurses had protested and demanded apology from the doctor for two days but the doctor refused to apologies.
It forced the nurses to hold a protest demonstration in hospital on Wednesday, which suddenly activated the administration to issue suspension orders of Dr Usman to settle the matter.
OSD: Human Rights Department Additional Secretary Ambreen Sajid has been made officer on special duty (OSD). Ambreen Sajid has been directed to report to Services & General Administration Department. Punjab government issued a notification on Wednesday in this regard.
