The decision of the Punjab government to initiate war against the drug mafia who sell death in the name of medicines should be welcomed. In order to eliminate spurious drug manufacturing companies, the government has made amendments in the Drug Act 1976.
Under these amendments, strict financial punishments will be given to all those involved in illegal activities. It is hoped that the government will continue its efforts to save the people from this mafia.
