SIALKOT: Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Inomate has said that Japan and Pakistan have been enjoying cordial relations in several spheres since long, but there is enough room to further strengthen bilateral trade ties.
He was addressing the business community at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here on Thursday. Inomate said that his country wished smooth and continuous progress of Pakistan in socio-economic spheres. “To improve bilateral trade, the role of JICA and other organisations will be made more effective apart from increased exchange of trade delegations and information,” he maintained.
The envoy added that Japan would provide all kinds of technological assistance for economic and industrial progress of the country. He said that Sialkot-based industrialists would also be helped in exploring Japanese markets for their high quality products. SCCI president Fazal Jilani, vice-presidents Mir Alamgir Meyer, Malik Naseer, Khawaja Zakauddin, Dr Nauman Idrees Butt, Sh Muhammad Yaqoob, Mian Muhammad Anwar, Nasir Saleem Mirza, Ijaz A Khokhar, Muhammad Waqas, Shabbir Gilani and others were also present.
