Justice Ibrahim Zia appointed AJK CJ
MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government Tuesday appointed Justice Ibrahim Zia as permanent Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court.
Justice Ibrahim Zia will continue as Chief Justice till 2020. Justice Zia born in village Kote, Muzaffarabad district on April 01, 1955. He got his primary education from local school. Passed Secondary School Certificate examination from Government High School Chikar and got degree of LLB from University Law College Punjab in 1979.
Earlier, Justice Ibrahim Zia was appointed as Advocate General of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in December 2009 and till April, 2010. Appointed as Ad hoc Judge of the Supreme Court April 2, 2010 till Dec 15, 2011. On Dec 16 Justice Zia was appointed as permanently judge of the AJK Supreme Court.
