KP senior cops visit remote posts for security arrangements
PESHAWAR: Senior police officers visited remote posts on the boundary with the tribal areas to inspect the arrangements for the security of the provincial capital in the wake of fresh terror threats.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasir Khan Durrani, Capital City Police Officer Mohammad Tahir and Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Sajjad Khan visited the remote posts, including Bara Qadeem and ShinwariQilla.
The officials inspected the security arrangements and boosted the morale of the cops. The IGP interacted with the Frontier Constabulary personnel at the checkposts and enquired about their preparedness wellbeing.
The officials expressed satisfaction at the duty of officials in the volatile and remote area, praised them for bravery and termed them as pride of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police. Nasir Durrani distributed cash awards among the copsto lift their morale. The IGP also met with the local people on the occasion and enquired about the police duty and law and order in their areas. Talking to the local people, the IGP said terrorism was a national issue. He said terrorists couldn't lower the morale of the police force and the general public through nefarious activities.The IGP also visited the general bus stand in Peshawar where he mingled with the commuters, transporters and Bus Adda administration and reviewed the security arrangements.
