Solidarity with human beings stressed
LAHORE
Love and compassion with human beings can change the world into paradise. Where no one would be hated because of his race, religion, territory, colour, creed, etc. Solidarity with human beings is much needed now as world has seen two brutal wars and human beings have been divided by imaginary lines.
The 20th of December is celebrated as International Human Solidarity Day around the world. Despite that world is facing worst kind of terrorism.
Maulana Allama Tahir Ashrafi, Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Chairman said “solidarity with human beings should not be limited for one day only. Our religion (Islam) gives the lesson of perpetual love with human beings. No killer can be human. ISIS, TTP and other factions who kill the innocent are not considered human beings. The savages are enemy of peace and human as well”, he added.
According to him, “western world and other prosperous countries must do something to eliminate poverty from the globe as they have resources to do that. Unequal distribution of wealth promoted extremism and terrorism. Moreover, the urge of domination over other countries has made the world a hell.
India in Kashmir and Israel in Palestine crossed the limits of barbarism. The enemies of peace don’t have right to celebrate International Human Solidarity Day, he elaborated.
Diep Saeed, a human rights activist said “only secular state can protect human rights. She said “countries should be border-free and people must have easy access from one country to another to earn livelihood. She suggested “only democratically strong countries can save the rights of citizens. Democracy secures human rights whereas violation of human rights can be seen where dictators rule.
Abdullah Malik, a peace promoter and keen supporter of democratic values shared “culture of tolerance must be promoted. Concept of “have or not have“ to be changed now, he added. The crises related to energy and food shortage should be resolved by the countries who are owner of resources of the world.
