Cop shot dead in Dera Ismail Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Unknown motorcyclists shot dead a policeman outside his house here on Thursday, official sources said.
The sources said that constable Mamoonur Rashid was standing outside his house near Rahat Gardan in Zafarabad Colony when two bike riders fired at him and rode away. The cop died on the spot.
The killing prompted police to launch a search operation in the district against suspected persons.Mamoonur Rashid was son of Haroonur Rashid who is Station House Officer of the Cantonment Police Station. Terrorists had lobbed a hand grenade into the house of Haroonur Rashid in the recent past. His wife was injured in the attack.
