AIOU social science conference on December 28
Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will hold second national conference on Social Sciences on December 28 and 29.
It would be most significant gathering of social scientists, drawn from all over Pakistan. The event will cover a wide range of interests in different disciplines of social sciences. It would also serve as a platform for presenting new knowledge and insights, promoting innovation in the research-policy-action nexus, and nurturing new academic partnerships.
Highlighting the importance of the event, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui said researchers will get the opportunity to share their updated knowledge on the relevant subjects, in the background of present social, economic and political conditions.
Pakistan has potential to solve all the county's socio-economic problems by exercising appropriate social, economic and political strategies. In this connection, the role of Universities is highly important, he added. The conference aims at providing theoretical perspectives and empirical research upon which sound national social, economic and political policy can be devised.
