WANA: The government on Wednesday directed the temporarily displaced persons (IDPs) of five tehsils of the South Waziristan Agency to get registered by December 21 to be returned to native areas.
A notification issued by the Fata Secretariat in Peshawar to the political administration stated that those tribespeople who failed to get registered themselves with the government for repatriation in the stipulated time would be denotifed the status of the temporarily displaced persons (IDPs).
It further said such tribespeople would no longer be entitled to the incentives being provided to the TDPs. The orders were issued for the remaining families of 79 villages of Ladha,
Makin, Sararogha, Sarwakai and Tayarza tehsils and Kanigram area in South Waziristan.
The tribespeople of these villages were directed to get their families registered at a registration point established at Khargai area. Political Officer Muhammad Shoaib Khan confirmed the development and urged the TDPs to get registered before the closure of the service.
