No extension in filing of annual tax return date: FBR
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Nisar Muhammad has announced that no extension will be given in the date of filing of annual tax returns, writes Hanif Khalid.Talking to The News on Tuesday, he said December 15, 2016 would be the last date for filing annual tax returns and no extension would be given in this regard. He said tax offices would remain open till 8:pm today (Wednesday) and 10:pm tomorrow (Thursday) across the country, while the State Bank of Pakistan and the authorised branches of National Bank will also remain open till 8:pm today (Wednesday) and till 10:pm tomorrow (Thursday) to collect annual tax return forms. The chairman said the FBR team not only met all-time record of total Rs3,104 billion revenue target of financial year 2015-16, but also generated it to Rs3,112 billion.
