PTI leader, activists join PML-N

PESHAWAR: Special Advisor to Prime Minister Amir Muqam said on Saturday that there was contradiction in the deeds and words of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan as he didn’t seem to be serious about resolving the issues facing the people.

He was speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, where Captain (r) Shahid Habib, member of the PTI’s central executive committee along with the other activists announced joining the PML-N. Amir Muqam claimed the PTI chief never respected the court’s decisions and he was once again going to oppose its decisions of forming a commission to probe the Panama Papers leaks. He said that Imran Khan had asked the SC to form the commission to investigate the matter. The prime minister’s special advisor claimed that people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had rejected the PTI’s politics, saying that Imran Khan was using protest set-ins to hide its party government’s failure in the province.“Imran Khan is not sincere with the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he said. He added that PTI chief should wait for the next general election.“Imran Khan has deceived the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the name of change, but the people will think twice before voting for his party in the next general election,” he said.Amir Muqam urged the PTI MNAs and MPAs to play their role in the assemblies. The PML-N leader said that Imran Khan wanted to impose his decisions on others. He lambasted Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and claimed that PPP had lost its clout after the death of Benazir Bhutto. He said that PML-N would win the next general election as the party had delivered on its pledges.
