4 killed, score wounded in Kurram sub-tribes armed clash

PARACHINAR: Four tribesmen were killed and scores of others sustained injuries in a clash between the two sub-clans of Mangal tribe in Kurram Agency, tribal and official sources said. The sources said that there has been a land dispute between the Teri Mangal and Gobazana sub-tribes of Mangal tribe since long.

They said the dispute took an ugly turn and the tribesmen from the two sub-tribes exchanged fire. They said the tribesmen used automatic weapons to fire against each other. The sources said that four tribesmen belonging to one family were killed in the exchange of fire while scores of others sustained injuries in the clash. The exchange of fire was continuing till filing of this report, the sources said.Assistant Political Agent Shahid Ali Khan said the officials of the political administration and security forces had reached the area and were trying to halt the fighting.
