LAHORE: The golfing hopefuls from all over Pakistan have assembled at the Lahore Gymkhana Golf Course to seek honours in the All-Pakistan Quaid-e- Azam Amateur Golf Championship from Friday (today).
Speaking ahead of the event Najam Hafeez of the sponsors CNS Engineering and Schnider Electric stated that as the championship carries the name of the Quaid-i-Azam hence all efforts have been made to give it a touch of glory and prestige and hoped that the championship will serve as the memory of the father of the nation.
Leading golfers like Mehdi,Imran Ahmed, Javed A. Khan, Tariq Mehmood ,Fakhar Imam, Wazir Ali, Ahmed Baig, Muhammad Rehman, Muhammad Saqib, Nadeem Aslam and Mohsen Zafar hope to attain under par scores and be a part of the glory.
For youngsters like Ahmed Baig, Muhammad Saqib, Nadeem Aslam and Zunair Aleem, a victory in this championship is on top of their wish-list and if they can succeed in lifting the prestigious title, it will be an ample reward for their efforts and the consistent hard work they have put in. In fact Ahmed Baig even went on to say that this title will be a culmination of the year 2016 and help to climb up the ladder in national standing.
