Thunderstorm likely tomorrow
LAHORE
Following a long cold and dry spell, finally, Met office has predicted rain with snowfall over the hills in various parts of the country during the weekend.
The Met officials said a westerly wave is likely to enter Pakistan on Saturday (tomorrow). Under the influence of this weather system, rain with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fata, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from Saturday (evening/night) to Monday.
The officials predicted that rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob divisions, Islamabad and upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad divisions) on Saturday/Sunday while light rain/drizzle is also expected along Sindh-Makran coast during the period. On the other hand, dry weather was observed in the city here Thursday.
