Villagers protest police raids, search

KOHAT: The residents of Jangalkhel area on Friday staged protest against the police raids and search operations in the area.
Carrying banners and placards, the residents of Jangalkhel area blocked the Peshawar-Kohat road to traffic for one hour. Speaking on the occasion, they said the cops forced their entry into the houses without any search warrant and harassed women.
They asked the provincial police chief to take note of the issue or else a protest campaign would be launched.
The protesters dispersed peacefully after being assured by the Deputy Superintendent of Police Rashid Khan to look into the matter and resolve the issue.
