First batch of foreign accredited EMTs passes out

The first batch of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) fully trained in pre-hospital emergency care, passed out from Red Crescent National Ambulance Service College (NASC) here Friday.

The ceremony was attended by PRC’s secretary general Ghulam Muhammad Awan, Vice Chancellor of NASC Dr. Hussain Mubashir Malik, chairman of PRC’s FATA Branch Fareed Khan Wazir, and a high-level delegation of National Services Ambulance College, Dublin, that includes Dr. Shane Knox, Anthony Byrne and Desmond Wade.

Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Awan congratulated students of NASC and hoped that they would serve the country in the best possible manner. Dr. Shane Knox expressed satisfaction on the performance and success of students in both theoretical and practical exams conducted by the team of NASC, Dublin.

Dr. Mubashir Malik shared that NASC was established last year with the collaboration of NASC, Dublin. “The establishment of this college is the greatest gift for the people of Pakistan as it will produce relief workers specialized in advanced courses that will enable them to deal with emergency situations in an efficient and professional manner,” he stated. He also expressed gratitude to all companies including SNGPL, FFBL, and Askari Bank for generously contributing towards the establishment of the college. In the end, certificates were presented to the EMTs.
