Two DSPs dismissed for issuing bogus driving licences

LAHORE

IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has dismissed Sheikhupura traffic DSPs Zahid Abbas Khawaja and Naeem-ul-Hasnain on proving charges of issuing bogus driving licences. 

The DSPs were found guilty of issuing bogus driving licences during departmental investigation and enquiry officer, Nankana Sahib, DPO Sahibzada Bilal Umar had declared them guilty in the enquiry report and proposed a strict departmental action against them. 

The IGP heard both the DSPs on Thursday in an orderly room in which they could not prove their innocence. The IGP dismiss them and said there is no place for corrupt and incapable officials in the department. Officials who don’t respect the honour of their uniform, do not deserve to be in force, he added. Honest, hardworking and diligent police officers and officials are pride of police department while a few black sheep are cause of defaming police force and also create problems in serving citizens. Such officials don’t deserve any favour, he said. 

LANCES, GUNS CLUB: Lances and Guns Club developed under the aegis of Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) was inaugurated. Director General Major General Umar Farooq Burki was chief guest on the occasion.

The facility houses good breed horses, riding arena, Equestrian Federation of Pakistan certified courses of riding, polo, tent pegging, shooting range, swimming pool, squash court and jogging track for sports lovers. The club would cater Armed Forces and civilian members alike.
