A rickshaw driver foiled a robbery bid on the Korangi bridge on Sunday when he slammed his rickshaw into the muggers’ motorcycle, pushing them and his vehicle into a nearby storm-water drain.
Police sources said the rickshaw driver witnessed a robbery attempt in progress and decided to take action, adding that the driver crashed his vehicle into the motorbike and caused the muggers, their two-wheeler, and his three-wheeler to fall into the drain.
The investigators said both the suspects were injured in the incident, but only one of them could be arrested because his accomplice managed to escape from the scene. The rickshaw driver also suffered minor injuries in the incident, they added.
