Police trace tunnel used to steal Parco oil

JHANG: Police Thursday claimed tracing a tunnel dug by thieves to steal diesel from the pipelines of Parco. Addressing a press conference at Mochiwala police station, DPO Humayun Masood said a special police team arrested inter-district gangsters who had dug a tunnel to steal diesel from the pipelines of Parco in Jhang.
He said there were repeated complaints about the stealth of diesel from supply pipelines of Parco crossing the district Jhang towards Faisalabad, and under the command of Sadar Circle’s DSP Muhammad Tahir Khichi police traced a suspected house in Chak 216//JB in the limits of Mochiwala PS where a tunnel was found that was linked with the Parco diesel supply pipeline.
The police registered two cases against accused Shazo, Mumtaz, Amanullah, Jafar Gujjar, Nasir Gujjar, Akram Hinjra and Imran Rasool. The DPO said during investigation, it was learnt that the arrested accused were also involved in heinous crimes in other districts. The DPO said some 14,000 liters diesel, including nine oil tanks and other tools were recovered from the accused. The DPO announced awards for the police party. The DPO warned a strict action against outlaws.
