TMUC holds entrepreneurship week

The two-day celebration of the Millennium Global Entrepreneurship Week (MGEW) 2016, an undertaking that commemorates start-up innovators and job creators, began with panel discussions and a mega fashion show was organised by TMUC Islamabad in collaboration with TMUC Springs, Bahria Town at the Millennium University College (TMUC), H-11/4, here, says a press release.

MGEW celebrated woman and youth empowerment and entrepreneurship on the underlying theme ‘Ignite the Entrepreneurship Within” in collaboration with -GEW Pakistan, KAUFFMAN Foundation, The Indus Entrepreneurs Islamabad, and World Wildlife Fund WWF.

The prime sponsor for the occasion was Top-City 1 Pakistan’s leading real estate investment firm while Careem, a multinational transportation network company provided travel partnership for the participants of MGEW.

Eminent designers from the fashion industry participating in the fashion show included Fahad Hussayn, Ayesha Ibrahim, Obaid Sheikh, Ivy, Labels and most prominently TMUC’s very own fashion department from the Islamabad and Bahria Springs campuses. 

Pakistan’s Supermodels including Rubiya Chaudhry walked the ramp with TMUC students who proudly wore their own creations. A mesmerising classical dance and musical performance by Bakshi Brothers from Coke Studio were also enjoyed by the audiences. 

While addressing the participants at the occasion, RMS Executive Director Ms. Anna Faisal strongly emphasised on the need for youth, especially women empowerment. While thanking the TMUC students and staff for organizing the amazing Fashion show she reiterated TMUC’s commitment to provide entrepreneurial opportunities for students through the TMUC Business and Fashion Incubation.

The ceremony ended with the TMUC Dean of Academics Ms. Safia Farooqi and Executive Director Anna Faisal awarding shields of appreciation to the Chief Guest, designers, and sponsors of the event.
