Three kidnapped

PAKPATTAN: Three people, including a woman, were kidnapped in different incidents on Tuesday.
The wife of Muhammad Mazhar of Chak 37/SP was buying things in the bazaar when accused Rafiq and his accomplices abducted her. Muhammad Idrees, 22, of Inamabad was abducted by unidentified kidnappers. Ideers’ father Noor Ahmad showed doubt that kidnappers might have murdered his son. Accused Ghulam Fareed and his accomplices entered the house of Muhammad Binyameen of Malka Hans and abducted his 20-year-old son Ahmad Raza. Police have registered cases.
INJURED: A man was injured in an accident on Tuesday. Usman Sikandar and his uncle Muhammad Boota were travelling in a van and near Chak 65/D a speeding tractor-trolley hit the van, leaving Boota injured critically. He was rushed to hospital.
BOOTLEGGERS HELD: Police have arrested bootleggers and recovered liquor from their possession on Tuesday.
Police arrested accused Murtaza of Meram Shah with four litre liquor, accused Nadeem of Rakh, Pakpattan, with 10 litre liquor, accused Asif of Small Canal with 10 litre liquor, accused Munir Shahid of Chak 37/SP with five litre liquor, accused Qasim of Railway Gate, Arifwala with five litre liquor. Police have registered cases against the accused.
FAKE LAND DOCUMENTS: Five fraudsters got transferred a property after preparing its fake documents. Reportedly, accused Nazeer Ahmad and his four accomplices got prepared fake documents of the property of Rana Muhammad Akram. Rana of Lahore owns property at Arifwala. Police have registered a case.
PO ESCAPES: A proclaimed offender (PO) escaped with the connivance of his helper on Tuesday. On a tip-off, police raided Chak Jaman Shah to arrest PO Saleem but he escaped with the help of his accomplice Riaz Ahmad. Police have registered a case.
