Transparent hiring

The Gilgit Baltistan government has recently appointed 650 new teachers in the education department on merit basis after screening eligible candidates through the National Testing Service (NTS). It was a challenge for the PML-N-led government of Gilgit-Baltistan to induct new teachers on merit. Chief Minister of GB Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman and Secretary Education Sanaullah ensured transparency in the selection process.
The education sector of the province used to be subjected to cronyism. The government has now taken strict action against any hiring which doesn’t match the eligibility criterion. Such measures will be helpful in improving the education system in the province,
