MANSEHRA: Over 21,000 bullets of various calibers were recovered from a vehicle near the Afghan refugee camp in Sheikhabad and arrested two smugglers here, an official said on Wednesday.
“We have started investigation to ascertain either seized bullets are smuggled here to use in any subversive activity or otherwise,” Zulfiqar Khan Jadoon, the deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Urban, told reporters.
He said the security was put on high alert after the Quetta attack and when the police signalled a vehicle to stop, the driver sped away. The police chased the vehicle and intercepted it after a while.
The police recovered 21,000 bullets of different arms from secrete shelves and arrested Mohammad Rafique and Mohammad Faisal. Jadoon said that police were investigating the case.
