‘Dharna to be held on Nov 2 come what may’

ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday termed Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif a security risk and asked why names behind the ‘security leaks’ were not revealed.

In a brief chat with the media here, Imran charged that Nawaz had not raised the issue of arrest of RAW spy Kulbhushan Yadav at the United Nations General Assembly session, while his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi spared no chance to go against Pakistan.

He said the only function of the government was how to save Nawaz from the PanamaLeaks investigation. He complained that Nawaz Sharif never talked about the Indian interference in Pakistan, as he was more concerned about himself. He said both corruption and terrorism were inter-linked needing to be crushed.

“Whenever we are to do something and the government faces difficulties, something happens. But whatever they do, the Nov 2 protest will be held,” Imran emphasised. He asked the prime minister to reply to the question of investigation into the lawyers’ massacre in Quetta and what measures were taken afterwards.

“Mir Jafars and Mir Sadiqs must be exposed,” the PTI chairman maintained.Imran took Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif to task for his ‘irresponsible’ statement on militant wings, saying it appeared his only job was to level allegations against the opposition.

The PTI chairman announced suspension of his party’s activities for a day and cancelled his planned visit to Abbottabad where he was to address a public meeting. He expressed solidarity with the families of the victims of terrorism at the Quetta Police Training College.
