PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) has handed over plots to 29 industrialists in Hattar to set up units in various sectors. According to a press release of the company, the possession of plots was given to industrialists hailing from diverse sectors including engineering, food, marble & Granite, steel, food process and packaging, mineral grinding, electronics, pharmaceuticals, chemical, plastic and warehousing. The industrialists were selected on the basis of their feasibility plan and ability to start production in maximum period of two years. Abdul Karim Khan, special advisor to the chief minister on Industries, while speaking on the occasion, hailed the efforts of the KPEZDMC for facilitating the industrialists, the release said. The company has planned to replicate the Hattar model in other parts of the province and only Hattar Special Economic Zone would generate 30,000 jobs and bring 30 billion investments to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it added.
