10-year-old Naimat and 8-year-old Masood died after they fell into
an open drain located next to the wall
A wall collapse in the city’s Shafiq Morr area on Sunday resulted in the death of two minor boys.
As per officials, the collapsed section was part of a boundary wall running along an open nullah. They said three boys were playing right next to the wall and, as the section caved in, all three minors plunged into the nullah.
Rescuers and area residents tried to fish out the three boys, but were only able to save one of the three boys.
The two children who died in the incident were identified by Gabol Town police officials as 10-year-old Naimat, son of Sher, and 8-year-old Masood, son of Bakht Munir.
On September 20, two children were killed while three others were injured when a portion of the roof of a seminary located in Saudabad caved in.
Twelve-year-old Muhammad Arman, son of Muhammad Ibrahim and thirteen-year-old Muhammad Abbas, died while eight years old Muzzamil, 12-year-old Faisal, son of Javed, and 25-year-old Qari Ismail sustained injuries, according to the Khokrapar police.
As per investigators, a water tank constructed on the roof of the Madina Masjid came crashing down while the children were reciting Quran in the veranda.
Earlier on July 14, a woman died and four others suffered injuries when a house, which authorities said was built over the Gujjar Nullah, collapsed while a section of the drain was being cleaned.
