Surrendered BRA commanders say Barhamdagh Bugti misguided them

SIBI: Two commanders of banned militant organisation, Baloch Republican Army (BRA) who along with their other 41 militant colleagues surrendered, said that self-exiled Baloch leader Barhamdagh Bugti misguided them. They vowed to remain loyal to Pakistan rest of the lives.

Two commanders of banned BRA including Qaisar Khan Bugti and Lal Khan Bugti along with their 41 militant colleagues surrendered here at Frontier Corps Balochistan Sibi Scouts Headquarters on Saturday and vowed to remain loyal to Pakistan.

Talking to journalists they said that self-exiled Baloch leader Barhamdagh Bugti misguided them. “Barhamdagh Bugti misguided us in the name of freedom movement,” they said, adding that they decided to leave BRA after Barhamdagh applied for asylum in India. They said that those were foreign agents who applied for asylum in India. “Now we are standing by Pak Army and we will fight to defend Pakistan,” they vowed.

The ceremony was attended by MNA and tribal elder Mir Dostain Khan Domki, Sector Commander FC Brig. Amjad Ali, Commandant FC Col. Zulfiqar Bajwa, Deputy Commissioner Sibi Saifullah Khetran, Deputy Commissioner Kachhi Bolan, Ali Aijaz, SSP Sardar Hasan Musakhel, District Chairman Malik Qaimduddin Dahpal, Municipal Chairman Haji Daud Rind and others.

MNA Domki said that the government would not leave alone those who had been surrendering and joining mainstream. “The government will provide all available facilities including education, health, water and others to families and children of the militants who have surrendered,” he said.

He said that Barhamdagh Bugti was not well-wisher of people of Balochistan. “We strongly reject so-called movement of Barhamdagh Bugti,” he said, adding that military leadership had been taking practical measures for the development of Balochistan.

Sector Commander FC and Commandant FC said that the militants who surrendered were members of banned militant outfit BRA which was involved in targeting innocent people, damaging government installations and carrying out bomb blasts.
