PESHAWAR: Mohammad Intikhab Khan Chamkani and Dr Shaheen Abdur Raj were elected unopposed as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president and general secretary, respectively, of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) here on Saturday.
The election was held after provincial council meeting at a hotel here.
Members of the PML-Q election commission including Ghulam Mustafa Malik, Moazzam Bhutt advocate and Maulana Mohammad Shoaib and members of the council and representatives of district organisations were also present on the occasion. Since there was no one in the competition, the election committee announced the result. Later, the meeting in an unanimous resolution reposed confidence in the central and provincial leaders.
