Navy rescues people injured in Ormara road crash

The Pakistan Navy, on Sunday, claimed to have rescued 39 people injured in an accident near Zero Point at Ormara.

The injured were immediately taken to the Pakistan Navy Hospitals, including PNS Darmanjaah at Jinnah Naval Base, Ormara, by PN ambulances where they were provided necessary medical treatment.

The five severely injured were taken to Karachi via Pakistan Navy and civil ambulances. Of the other 34 injured, all were treated well at the PNS Darmanjaah and later discharged from the hospital.

The accident happened early in the morning after a passenger bus collided with an ambulance near Maneyjee Check Post almost 14 km away from Ormara.

The bus was on its way to Turbat from Karachi, PN rescue teams along with civil administration reached the spot of the accident, evacuated the injured and provided initial aid to them.

They were then shifted to PNS Darmanjaah for medical aid.

PN said the 34 passengers who sustained minor injuries were discharged after necessary treatment.

Appreciating the timely rescue efforts of the PN, the local populace said the institution’s promptness helped save several precious human lives.
