A special customs court on Thursday extended judicial remand by October 13 of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) air hostess Nuzhat Bukhari, an accused of attempting to smuggle a large quantity of gold to America.
The court has directed police to submit challan against the accused on the next hearing.
Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) had arrested air hostess from Allama Iqbal International Airport in connection with an attempt to smuggle gold to the USA.
The ANF officials booked Nuzhat Bukhari against 2kg (1,995 gram) gold that was recovered from her luggage during a routine search at the airport. The suspect had confessed that she was trying to smuggle gold.
