Rs2b uplift schemes approved for Lahore
LAHORE
The Punjab government Tuesday approved over Rs 2 billion development schemes for Lahore.
The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) in 19th meeting held at P&D secretariat has approved three major schemes related with civic facilities, sewerage and clean drinking water and a hospital at Manawan of worth over Rs 2 billion out of total nine schemes with an estimated cost of Rs 5.513 billion.
The PDWP meeting was chaired by Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan, Secretary P&DD Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, Members of the Planning and Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant departments attended the meeting.
According to spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes for Lahore are establishment of 100-bed tehsil level hospital at Manawan (Rakh Chabil) GT Road, Lahore at the cost of Rs 599.662 million, provision of clean drinking water, sewerage system, PCC and Allied Service Facilities in Sabzazar and adjoining Abadis, in NA-121, Wasa, Lahore Development Authority, at the cost of Rs 500.089 million, provision of clean drinking water, sewerage system, PCC and allied facilities in Ravi Road, Islampura and Adjoining Abadis, Lahore at the cost of Rs 494.326 million, provision of clean drinking water, sewerage system, PCC and allied facilities in Shimla Pahari and adjoining Abadis, at the cost of Rs 500.00 million.
Schemes of other districts are construction / re-construction of road from Banglow Sultan Pur to Noorewala Banglow via Vigh Langarwala Pull Jallah Bala Sahiba Banglow Awan Wala along Ghazni Rajbah, length 41.00 km, Sargodha at the cost of Rs 631.639 million, rehabilitation of Dualized Road from Sargodha to Makhdoom Interchange (M-2) length 42.00 km, Sargodha at the cost of Rs 1370.35 million, Widening / Improvement of road from Pandorian (M-3) Interchange to Shahkot via Sangla Hill (length 32.90 km), Nankana Sahib at the cost of Rs 567.031 million, rehabilitation of Nankana-Mangtanwala Road (length 17.00 km), Nankana Sahib at the cost of Rs 426.80 million and widening / improvement of Kotla Arab Ali Khan to Kharian (Carpeted Road) length-21.60 km, Gujrat at the cost of Rs 423.334 million.
